Today was Gumboots and Umbrellas Day. We had a great time walking to school in the rain with the teachers. We really enjoyed splashing through the puddles in our gumboots!

Feeling Faces
We have made amazing feeling faces in art. We made the heads using coloured paper from magazines and ripping it into small pieces and then gluing it onto a circle shape. We then working with Miss Hong to make the hair, eyes and mouth. We wrote sentences to go with our faces to describe what makes us feel happy, sad, angry, proud, scared and confused.

Keeping Ourselves Safe
For the first four weeks of this term our theme unit is Keeping Ourselves Safe. This week we have been learning about how special we all are. We have learnt our full names, our addresses and telephone numbers. We have also been talking about our feelings. We drew pictures and wrote sentences to describe what makes us feel happy, sad, angry, proud, scared and confused. We had a special visit from our Police Education Officer, Constable Harwood.
Constable Harwood taught us about how important it is to know our full names, telephone numbers and addresses. |
Here we are writing our full names and addresses. |
