We had a wonderful day on Tuesday because the Firefighters from Takapuna Fire Station came to visit us. We learnt that: Matches and lighters are tools and if we find them we should always give them to an adult. A candle should be put into a safe holder so that it does not cause a fire. We need to have smoke alarms in our house. You can not hear a fire if you are asleep. If there is a fire we need to shout " Fire, Fire, Fire". We need to get down, get low and get out fast. When we are outside we need to go to a safe meeting place, then call 111 and tell the operator that there is a fire. We really enjoyed practicing getting down, getting low and getting out.

Our School Assembly
On Friday we hosted the School Assembly with our buddy class Room 10. Our theme was how to be sun smart and safe at the beach. As the weather is getting warmer we need to remember to SLIP on a shirt, SLOP on some sunscreen, SLAP on a hat and WRAP on some sunglasses. Below are some photos. Thank you for coming and watching our assembly!
